For the first time, CleanPowerSF customers on our default Green service received electricity that was 100% clean and renewable in 2023!
This electricity came mostly from hydropower and solar, followed by geothermal and wind. Our SuperGreen and SuperGreen Saver customers received 100% renewable electricity in 2023 from sources like solar and wind.
Not only are our energy sources clean and renewable, most of them are also located right here in California, including the Paulsell Energy Center in Stanislaus County. This new solar plus battery storage project, which began operating this past summer, enhances reliability and promotes affordability for CleanPowerSF’s 380,000 customers.
