Sparkling Union Square
During the holiday season, Union Square acts as the centerpiece for San Francisco’s commercial district with its festive holiday lights and decorations. From the Union Square Christmas Tree to Macy’s decorative store windows, there’s magic to be found around every corner.

HapPIER Holidays @ Pier 39
Marvel at the monumental 60-foot glowing Christmas tree at Pier 39, which performs a light-and-music- show every 30 mins from 5-10 p.m. through January 5th. While you’re there, explore the carousel, shops, and restaurants – all powered by clean Hetch Hetchy Power.

Holiday Cheer in the Castro
The Castro neighborhood knows how to celebrate! From lavishly decorated homes to festive businesses, this area radiates holiday spirit. Make sure to stop by the famed Castro Street House (68 Castro Street), renowned for its over-the-top seasonal decorations.

Experience the country’s largest holiday projection event, Let’s Glow SF, from December 6-15. Don’t miss the Glow on Front: Neon Block Party on December 13 for family-friendly fun in California’s first Entertainment Zone.

Bells on Third Street
Every holiday season, the Bayview gets in the holiday spirit with bell lights brightening up Third Street. You can experience this special annual installation on Third Street, between Evans and Jamestown Avenues. The extra special décor is also powered by Hetch Hetchy Power!

City Hall Illuminations
San Francisco City Hall shines bright year-round but becomes even more vibrant during the holidays. Powered by Hetch Hetchy Power, its colorful displays light up the Civic Center throughout December. An illuminated 50+ foot Christmas tree also stands tall in the Plaza across from City Hall, viewable from the upper floors of 525 Golden Gate.
