Electrifying San Francisco: CleanPowerSF’s Roadmap to Clean Energy
On August 26, SFPUC’s Power Enterprise hosted a public webinar titled “Powering Tomorrow, Together: CleanPowerSF Integrated Resource Plan.” The free, one-hour event allowed CleanPowerSF staff to share updates on its clean energy roadmap, also known as the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), and to hear directly from the community. The event featured expert panelists, including Firas Abu-Sneneh, Acting Manager, Resource Planning and Compliance from CleanPowerSF and Justin Chebahtah, Resource Planning Specialist from CleanPowerSF. Here are some key takeaways attendees learned about the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Pedaling Towards a Greener Future with SFPUC’s Electrify My Ride Program
More San Franciscans are pedaling towards a greener future thanks to the return of the SFPUC’s popular Electrify My Ride program, which offers eligible customers a $1,000 coupon for a new electric bike. When we launched this rebate program this year on August 18, all 1,000 rebates were claimed within three hours. The response was electric!
SFPUC Expands Popular E-Bike Rebate Program
SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is bringing back its popular $1,000 e-bike rebate program -- and making it available to more than twice as many customers. Beginning Monday, August 18, 2025, some 55,000 income-qualified customers will be eligible for $1,000 off a new e-bike through the Electrify My Ride rebate program at participating San Francisco bicycle shops. That’s up from 25,000 eligible customers last year.
