Find out if you're qualified for a discount.

All of the following must apply to you:

  • The CleanPowerSF/PG&E bill is in your name.

  • You live at the address where the discount will be received.

  • Another person (besides your spouse) can't claim you as a dependent on an income tax return.

  • Your total combined household gross income does not exceed the following income guidelines:

(18% discount for FERA)*

(30–35% discount for CARE)*

1-2 Person $43,281–$54,100 $43,280 or less
3 Person $54,641–$68,300 $54,640 or less
4 Person $66,001–$82,500 $66,000 or less

Income should be before taxes and based on current income sources. For additional household sizes, visit: pge.com/carefera.

*FERA (Family Electric Rates Assistance) and CARE (California Alternate Rates for Energy) are two state
programs available to CleanPowerSF customers through their PG&E bill. FERA customers could get an 18%
monthly discount, and CARE customers could get a 30-35% monthly discount.

What you should bring to the event:

Bring your CleanPowerSF/PG&E electricity bill to the event.

Check your latest bill and make sure you’re not already enrolled in CARE/FERA. There will be language support for Spanish and Cantonese at each event. Free printing is available at San Francisco Public Libraries.
