Rates Designed with You in Mind

CleanPowerSF offers various rate options to meet our customers’ energy use and needs. To get help with your rate, Contact Us.

Time-Of-Use Rate (E-TOU-C)

Most electricity ratepayers in California pay higher rates during the peak hours of 4-9pm. This is called a Time of Use Rate. During that time window, energy demand is high, and there is less wind and solar power available. Most CleanPowerSF residential customers are currently on a Time of Use Rate (E-TOU-C) for their service.

All-Electric Rate (E-ELEC)

This rate is available to customers who have an Electric Vehicle, battery storage, or an electric heat pump. The All-Electric Rate promotes replacing gas appliances with electric ones. It adjusts the usage tier costs to offset the use of more electricity.

Electric Vehicle Rate (EV)

Own an electric vehicle and charge at home? CleanPowerSF offers a dedicated Electric Vehicle (EV) rate designed to help make powering your car simple and cost-effective.

The EV rate is built for customers who regularly charge at home and want a pricing option that reflects their increased electricity use. It can help you better manage your monthly bill while driving on cleaner energy.

With CleanPowerSF, your EV is powered by renewable and greenhouse gas–free electricity—helping reduce emissions and support San Francisco’s climate goals every time you plug in.

Rooftop Solar (Net Energy Metering)

Our Net Energy Metering or NEM rate gives customers with solar panels credits on their bill when they generate more energy than they need. For more information, see Residential Rooftop Solar and Net Energy Metering.
