As your local clean electricity provider, CleanPowerSF is helping to deliver on the City’s goal of achieving 100% renewable electricity. We do that in part by having a roadmap, called an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), to guide our way.  We are in the process of updating that plan and want to hear from you. 

At the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender (GLBT) Historical Society in San Francisco, Pride is not just a month – it’s a year-round commitment to honoring and preserving LGBTQ+ history. Home to the world’s largest archive of LGBTQ+ historical materials and the first museum of its kind in the United States, the Society is also proud to be powered by 100% clean energy as a CleanPowerSF customer.  

As summer heats up and wildfire season approaches, it’s important to be ready for potential power-related events like Flex Alerts, PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), and rotating power outages. While these events are rare in San Francisco, being prepared can make all the difference.

The U.S. Conference of Mayors has awarded San Francisco its top national climate honor in the 2025 Climate Protection Awards. San Francisco received first place in the Large City category for cutting emissions, delivering 100% renewable electricity, and expanding access to clean affordable energy through its CleanPowerSF local electricity program.

CleanPowerSF is considering a new solar billing plan for customers with rooftop solar interconnections after April 2023. As we consider possible changes, we want to hear from you.

CleanPowerSF is proud to roll out its Hourly Flex Pricing Pilot – an innovative program designed to incentivize residential and business customers to take control of their energy use, lower their electricity bills, and support a cleaner, more reliable power grid.

On April 17, the San Francisco Public Utilites Commission (SFPUC) hosted a webinar titled “Life is Better Electric!” The free, one-hour event, which also offered Cantonese and Spanish interpretation, highlighted the benefits of home electrification and available incentives and programs.
