Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102, at a Regular Meeting of the SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION: Public Hearing, discussion, and possible action to adopt the proposed Hetch Hetchy Power and CleanPowerSF (Community Choice Aggregation program) electric rates and charges for electric customers of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.

Save energy, save money: Peak Day Pricing is a win-win situation for San Francisco’s downtown buildings.

In 2023, 50 large downtown San Francisco buildings participated in Peak Day Pricing, a CleanPowerSF program that rewards customers for reducing their energy usage on days when California’s electric grid is particularly strained. The 2023 season, which ran from July to October, featured the most participants and largest load reduction in the program’s history. Overall, participants had a total electric load reduction of 90,000 kWh, which is equivalent to the amount of electricity needed to fully charge 1,500 electric vehicles.

Springtime in California brings more than just blooming flowers and warmer weather—it also means the arrival of the California Climate Credit on utility bills. This biannual credit comes from California's Greenhouse Gas Cap-and-Trade Program, which incentivizes utilities in California to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is offering up to $1 million in rebates, providing $1,000 per eligible customer, on the purchase of an e-bike at participating San Francisco bicycle retailers. This is the agency’s first venture into incentivizing a micromobility transportation option. Micromobility refers to any small, low-speed, electric-powered transportation device, like e-bikes and electric scooters.
